Cybersecurity is a rapidly growing industry internationally, for which there are a number of opportunities and challenges. The cost of cybercrime continues to rise globally, along with the demand for cybersecurity specialists. The current unemployment number in the cybersecurity space globally is close to 0%, and the demand continues to rise – increasing global competition for talent and investment.
That’s why we are very excited to announce our membership with Cyber Ireland.
Cyber Ireland was established in 2017, supported by the IDA it was created based on industry feedback from a cyber security forum held in Cork in 2017. It was formed to address and support Irish developments in the following areas:
- Skills
- Innovation
- Promotion & Sector branding
- Internationalisation
- Collaboration
Ireland is uniquely placed to benefit from increased global investment, it has an opportunity to position itself as a world class leader in cyber security practices, solutions and an investment hub. Cyber Ireland aims to facilitate the cyber security ecosystem to capitalise upon this opportunity.
Cyber Ireland brings together industry, academia and Government to represent the needs of the cyber security ecosystem in Ireland. We aim to enhance the innovation, growth and competitiveness of the companies and organisations which are part of the cluster.
With security at the core of everything we do, we are very excited to be a part of the cluster. We are one of the few CMDSP trainers in Ireland and as exclusive resellers of many market leading mobile threat defence technologies we feel like this is a perfect fit.
We hope to contribute our opinion and expertise in many of the target areas and look forward to playing our part in the continued rise of Ireland as a hub for excellence in the field.
Cyber Ireland is a great initiative and something we, as an indigenous specialist mobile security company, are very excited to be involved with. We already do quite a lot of work with the IDA and Enterprise Ireland and believe forums like this can be incredibly beneficial. We are currently one of the only companies in our space in Europe with ISO 27001 certification across all of our products and services as well as Cyber Essentials + as we see these as key differentiators for our business but also just best practice even for smaller companies.
